In this outpouring of creativity broadcasted by the Internet, every year The African Dream selects three projects!
Registration 14th edition:
From 1st March till 30th Sept. 2024
Each year, the African Dream Network agitates talents via internet to promote African culture.
Scheduled every year: Show Music from Western Africa, Music from Northern Africa, Music from Sahara Africa, Music from Southern Africa, Music from Central Africa, Music from Eastern Africa, Fashion, Story-tellers, Poets, Actors, Dance, Photos, Paintings, Short Film, Clip, Sculptures, Street Arts & Arts and Cultures from Caribbean, Jamaica, South America....
OPEN TO WHOM?
The casting is open to all artists (musicians, painters, dancers, photographers, fashion-designers, sculptors, story-tellers, humorists, poets, directors of short movies and actors of solidary-based actions), who are from Africa, the Caribbean, Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba, etc. and to all artists inspired by Africa.
FOR THE 3 PROJECTS SELECTED:
The projects selected by the association The African Dream will benefit from the communication tools needed to draw attention:
> Access to our network of more than 12 200 contacts Organizers, managers, Producers and media, 25 000 contacts subscribers and fans of African culture,
> The artists will benefit from the popularity of our social networks: more than 50 000 Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn,… followers, of the strength of our partners Radios, Press, Televisions, Organizers, Digital Distribution, cultural networks…
> The artists will benefit of our skills (Management, Production, Distribution, Booking ...).
HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
- A registration form is online each year.
PROGRAM 2023:
From 1st March till 30th Sept., 2023: Call for artistic projects opens
From 01 to 31 October 2023: African Dream Commission
1st November 2023: The committee's selections
From 1st till 30th November, 2023: Open votes
15th December 2023: Announcement of the 3 pepites 13th edition
CONDITIONS:
- African or South American artists benefit from free application. Free application is not granted anymore to the artists based in the North (Europe, Asia and Northern America). A 20€ fee will be requested.
- To prepare: contact details, 1 link to a picture + 1 link to listen or discover your project + a biography. Fill in the application form (Right column)
- For artists who do not have a website, we invite them to share their creations on Soundcloud, Reverbnation, Youtube, Instagram ...
ABOUT THE FUNDS:
Memberships will:
- Partially finance the association The African Dream, support the actions promoting African culture and artists located in Africa, participation in professional markets ...
