Talent-Spotter

PRESENTS THE AFRO PEPITES SHOW

THE THREE 2022 PEPITES

11th edition of the Selections of the African Dream!

The great discoveries identified by the committee and the web users!

The AFRO PEPITES SHOW is the 1st Arts Market online (e-Arts Market)

We have widened our communication networks and “agitated” the artists on the Internet to harvest a new artistic bunch dedicated to:

Professionals of culture willing to highlight new talents (media, managers, producers, publishers, organizers, distributors, booking agencies…)

Internet users interested in discovering new cultural trends.

This year the Listeners’ committee has discovered 161 projects.

It has short-listed 13 projects which have made a difference thanks to their originality, their quality and/or their commitments. Then, Internet users voted to support their favourite project!

This result is the fruit of a collaborative selection: 161 participants - 7 committee members - 13 finalists - 1779 votes - 3 pepites.

| Thank you all for your participation |

3rd Pepite MAMADOU BALLO | IVORY COAST | PAINTING

2021 Pepites (3)
12-Mamadou Ballo 2.jpg

● BIOGRAPHY:

Mamadou Ballo is an Ivorian ecological painter and sculptor who works in Abidjan.

" He' s like a sun. Do not look for a complicated metaphor. A sun is round, it is yellow, it floods things with a beneficial clarity. Mamadou Ballo's creations are powered by this energy alone. His women, his skies, his moods, everything is inscribed in a circle of warm light, desire and gratitude. He says it very simply. "Light is a woman.  She gives us everything we need to live, she is our mother".

It is likely that you will discover Ballo through his sculptures. This is evident not only in the volume they occupy. Gigantic certainly, but radiant, generous of the essential, a permanent promise in this sickly age, of a possible cure. Mamadou Ballo's woman soothes the wounds of the soul, she takes us in her arms, she carries us in the sleep which is sun.
