BIOGRAPHY
Chimère, Oumar Diaw by his real name, is a realistic draughtsman who knows the world of visual arts well. He honours his presence in graffiti by creating portraits representing the beauty of African values and address current events and social issues of which he is the architect.
For Chimère «the artist is the individual who is always ready to compose, from the point of view of sight, hearing... something of a chimera. He is this person who is ready to awaken people's sensitivity. Art is a refuge for sad people. Crea-tion makes it possible to unleash sadness in the consumer's heart and brings joy to it. Street Art also makes it possible to denounce injustices. He is also a means of prevention».
Chimère's works are visible mainly in the cities of Guinea or Senegal. He dresses the exterior and interior walls on and where the road leads him.
In 2017 Chimère launched the first edition of his Festival called "Lassiry Graffiti" organized in Guinea where he went to live. In 2020 the pan-demic did not stop him. With the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture of Guinea and his team of Guinee ghetto Graff, Chimère raised awareness about Covid. Then in 2011 he participated in the big awareness campaign "Stay or go" organized by the IOM and Guinée Challenge.
Location : Conakry (Guinea).
